Costa Rica Santa Rosa
Santa Rosa is one of Bernan Ureña farm located at 1900 masl, whe he separates the farm in different lots. He comes from a coffee producing family and has been growing coffee for 35 years and processing micro lots for 3 years now.
At the wet mill where Bernan depulp the cherries, they mechanically demucilage the cherries, removing as much mucilage from the parchment as the machine allows. Bernan then take the wet parchment to sun-dry at his place, where he built raised beds; this allows him to focused more in the drying stage of the coffee. This drying stage takes about 10 days.
You can expect a gentle and well balanced cup with notes of stewed fruits, nougat and tangerine.
